Classes and Inspiration



Saturday, March 29th

Gelli Plate Mono Printing
Dianne Hicks

Come and join us for a day of Gelli Printing. We will be focusing on circular shapes or a mandala form. We will be doing some basic techniques and layering. We will use stencils and paint to create layers using the Gelli Plate. Card stock stencils will be furnished for you to use and take home. Gelli Arts has also develped an 8" circular plate in case you get into the circular image. A circulate plate is not necessary but I will also be demontrating on both the large Gelli plate and the circular one. Paper and paint will be furnished but feel free to bring stencils or paint if you have favorites. Please bring Gelli plate, a brayer, paper towels, baby wipes and a spray water bottle. Also be sure to wear old cloths or bring an apron. You may want to also pack a lunch or plan on grabbing a bite. We will take a short break. If you do not have a round or regular Gelli Plate, you can buy one at Stamp Asylum on the day of class. ($45)

Zentangle and Stamping

Let's take Zentanble into the stamping world! This class combines the use of art stamps with tangles to create beautiful, bejeweled-looking tags. this class is very detailed and you must have taken the beginner Zentangle class. Bring a ink Blending tool and foam applicators, Pigma Black Micron 01 pen (s). ($40)

Come join us and learn to make a gift box and cards. This is a great
teacher's gift, hostess gift, birthday gift or a "just because gift". This project is all made with Bazzill papers and embellishments. Bring scissors, paper trimmer, bone folder and double sided adhesive. All other supplies will be provided. ($15)

The Envelope Punch board is one of those great buys. Come and make different types of treat boxes for Easter or any time giving. Bring scissors, paper trimmer, liquid adhesive, strong double sided tape and Envelope Punch. If you do not have an Envelope Punch, you can buy one at Stamp Asylum. Beginning Zentagle

Come join the newest craze! Zentangle is an art form anyone can learn. It employs simple strokes to make complex patterns that are a great addition to stamping project. In the beginning Zentagle, you will learn a minimum of nine Zentagle patterns by completing two Zentagle tiles. You will receive a beginners Zentagle kit and step-out instructions for 16 patterns. All supplies provided ($40)

Class, demonstration and new items

Copic
Skin, Hair and more

In this advanced Copic class you will learn how to color skin and hair. You will work with different skin tones, hair colors and hair styles. While you are coloring the images of people, I will go over clothing - such as pleats, texturing and shading. Please bring all your Copic Markers. You will need to have taken a beginner class to take this class. In this class you will using EOO, E11, R20, E31, E35 and YR20. If you do not have these markers, we will have them in stock to buy. Please let us know if you need a set so we can set them aside for you. ($25)

If you have a product that you have bought and are not sure how to use it, bring it and we will demonstrate it for you. We will also demonstrate a couple of techniques. This is an open demonstration and there is no need to sign up.

Copic Marker Beginner Class

This class is for any student new to Copic Markers or just needs to refresh their Copic marker skills. Topics that we will go over are how to choose paper and inks, different blending techniques, how to create texture and erase mistakes. We will also learn what all those letters and numbers mean on the markers. Copic Markers are an awesome medium that make your stamps come to life. Please bring All the markers that you own to class. If you do not have any Copic Markers, please let us know when you sign up for class. You can buy the needed markers at Stamp Asylum. THIS IS A TECHNIQUE CLASS ($30)

Amazing Watercolor

Come and learn some watercolor techniques with Tim Holtz inks. This is a technique class. Bring a detail brush or detail water brush. All other supplies will be provided. ($15)

Swinging Z Fold Fun!



Come play and make 8 cards using our NEWEST new die cut cards - Swinging Z-fold Cards. These cards are pre scored an die cut to fold into A-2 size cards. We have 4 different styles - Tripple Circle, Scallop Circle, Top Note and a Cupcake, which is fun because if you turn it upside down, it can be a face! Make 2 cards of each style for different occasions! Bring double sided tape and scissors. ($35)


2:00 - p.m. - 4:15 p.m.

Simple Elegance

Use our AstroSilver Embossed Metallics (Wave, Riccio, Silk, Raster, Laser, Btterflies and Spring) to make 7 simple elegant cads. Not a new line of card stocks, but with the finish, sometimes people shy away from them because they aren't sure how or what to do with them. We will stamp, die cut, emboss (both heat emboss and with embossing folders) and use direct to paper techniques to make cards that are beautiful!!! Bring double sided tape and scissors. ($35)

6:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.

Cards, Cards, Cards

You will have plenty to do in this fast paced and fun class! You will be given the paper supplies for all 10 cards, so you can work at your own speed. The supplies will be moved aroud, so you will ALWAYS have something to work on. We will be using an assortment of diffrent die cut cards, layered and window cards, stamps, inks, embossing folders and Impression Obsession dies to make cards for all occasions. This is a fun class to take with friends or make new friends as you stamp your heart out for 2 hours. Bring double sided tape and scissors. ($35)

You will be making a one of a kind memory book with Graphic 45 Twelve Days of Christmas paper collection. The book has tags, pockets, envelopes and embellishments for your pictures and memories. Bring: score tape either 1/4" or 1/2"; wet adhesive, scissors, ruler and a paper trimmer. All other supplies will be provided. You can bring lunch or snack. ($45.00)
